Ju-Jitsu Forbidden Techniques by Eric Garnier
These two former partners and students of Bas Rutten have become our teachers. They have a different technique, an opposite nature, but their states of mind meet in one single thought, the respect of life, the way to the Bushido.
Michel Van Rijt, 4th Dan in Judo & Jujitsu, European Champion, World vice champion, 1st Dan in Karaté, instructor in Pancrace, he was also several times champion of the Netherlands in Penchak Silat.
Today, he teaches all around the world. Renowned and feared among his peers for his technique on the ground, he remains one of the best Jujitsu fighters in the World. He’s a purist who excels in Ne Waza.
Eric Garnier, remains one of the very few experts in Chin NA (art) in Europe.
2nd Dan in Jujitsu, instructor in Chinese Boxing and Tai Qi Qong, Cane, Stick, and Knives, he is also an herbalist. He is a good Kendoka too. Founder of the Bas Rutten Académy, he has been spreading Pancrace especially in France, and he participated to training sessions with Bas Rutten, Marco Ruas or Remco Pardoel.
After he lost a bet (he was supposed to win a fight against a partner of 100 pounds more than him in less than 5 minutes, he won but in 5 minutes and 17 secondes), he tore up his Pancrace instructor degree signed by Masami Osaki & Bas Rutten, and he then left the Bas Rutten Academy.
He is one of the very few French Pancrace fighters to whom Japan paid tribute (twice he was celebrated by the famous Japanese fighting sports magazine : KAKETUGI)
On this video, Eric Garnier and Michel Van Rijt will demonstrate the various aspects of ground fighting or Ne Waza, traditional patterns with Keikogi, techniques specific to Pancrace and some forbidden Techniques.
